What does a venue need to host a power bank station?

Space, power, visibility and returns: the practical questions to answer before trialling a charging station in your venue.

BACK ON! portable power bank with built-in cables

A useful charging station needs more than an available socket. People must be able to find it, understand the price and return the power bank conveniently. These are the questions we discuss with potential BACK ON! hosts.

A visible, accessible position

A station tucked away where guests never pass may receive little use. We look at where visitors arrive, wait and spend time, while keeping queues, doorways and circulation routes clear. The position must work for the venue’s day-to-day operation.

Space and electricity

Our initial station holds eight power banks. It can be considered for a countertop position or displayed on our freestanding stand. We confirm the equipment dimensions, safe placement, cable route and access to a standard power socket before installation.

A workable rental and return process

Guests need to understand what they will pay and where and when they can return a bank. A venue with limited opening hours needs particular attention to return arrangements. A larger visitor count does not remove that practical constraint.

Clear responsibilities

We supply and maintain the equipment and manage power-bank stock and rental support. Before a placement begins, we agree servicing access, how faults are reported, commercial terms and the trial’s duration. Sending an enquiry does not commit a venue to installation.

Evidence from the trial

A trial should help both sides learn. Useful measures include rentals per opening day or event, periods with no charged banks available, return issues, support requests and time spent servicing the equipment. Revenue needs to be considered alongside costs.

We do not promise that every venue will achieve the same rental demand. The point of an initial trial is to collect evidence for that location.
