Hi, I’m Bilal.

I’m Bilal Zoghayyer, a University of Hull student and the founder of BACK ON!. I’m building a power bank rental business that gives people a practical way to charge their phones while they are out.

We are starting with two machines and working towards our first venue trials in Hull. The priority is to test the service, understand how customers use it and learn what makes a placement work before expanding.

From an idea to a demonstration

I built a freestanding display for the station and showed BACK ON! at the University of Hull’s Freshers’ Fair on 22 September 2026, as part of the IDEAL Startup Studio stand.

That gave people a chance to see the machine in person. It does not imply that the university or any other venue has approved a permanent installation.

What we’re working on

We want to make renting and returning straightforward, offer useful support, and collect real usage evidence from our early placements. Our Guides & Updates section shares practical information and progress.
